There will be playoff hockey in the Blue Jackets organization in 2023-24.

For the first time since 2018-19, the Cleveland Monsters are going to the AHL Playoffs. Through 68 games, the Monsters are 37-23-5-3 and are in second place in the North Division despite losing several key players to the Blue Jackets throughout the season.

The Monsters' regular season concludes on Sunday, April 21, five days after the conclusion of the Blue Jackets' season, so any AHL players currently with the Blue Jackets will not miss the start of the playoffs.

The roster that Cleveland will take into the playoffs boasts several intriguing Blue Jackets prospects including David Jiricek (7-10--17 in 26 GP), Luca Del Bel Belluz (9-21--30 in 54 GP), Stanislav Svozil (3-18--21 in 53 GP), Jake Christiansen (13-30--43 in 58 GP), James Malatesta (12-9--21 in 53 GP), and Jet Greaves (27-12-4, .907SV%, 3.00 GAA).

After all of the Monsters that are currently in the NHL return to Cleveland, this team should be a force and one of the favorites to win the Calder Cup.
