Yes, it's true: the Toronto Maple Leafs are one of the league's youngest and most exciting teams.
Stars-in-the-making like Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner and William Nylander make Toronto a good watch if you're browsing the nightly docket on NHL.tv. Mike Babcock has them playing a fast, aggressive and productive style of hockey and the Leafs are right in the playoff hunt with less than a month to go.
After a 4-2 win over the Boston Bruins on Monday night at Air Canada Centre, the Leafs are two points clear of the New York Islanders and looked the part of a team fighting for its postseason life. Toronto also swept the four-game season series with Boston, closing to within one point of the Bruins for third place in the Atlantic Division.
Leafs win... they're now 5-1-1 in their last seven games. On pace for 94 points. And one back of Bruins for third in Atlantic.
