The Blue Jackets' chances of catching the Washington Capitals are growing slimmer by the day. While that's not too surprising, what is surprising is the team responsible for ending the Capitals' lengthy home-ice win streak.

Oshie brought the Capitals within one at 3-2 with just under eight minutes left in regulation, but Patrick Sharp put it to bed with an empty-netter.
