Johnny Football, it appears, is no longer a thing.

He's certainly been outlasted by Johnny Hockey.

Calgary's Johnny Gaudreau was at it again last night, and a sensational goal not only lifted the Flames to their 10th consecutive win, it helped the Blue Jackets in the process.

Gaudreau went through the entire Penguins defense and then scored a wraparound goal in the third period, part of the Flames' 4-3 shootout win over the Penguins.

The goal not only further cemented Calgary's place in the Western Conference playoff draw, it helped keep the Penguins to a single point on the evening. Combined with the Jackets' win at Philadelphia, Columbus made up a point on their Metro Division rivals.

With 14 games to go, the Penguins moved to 95 points, tying them with the Washington Capitals for tops in the Metro, the Eastern Conference, and the Presidents Trophy race. Columbus, meanwhile, is just a point behind, and all three teams have played 68 games thus far.

The Caps are next in action, hosting Western Conference leader Minnesota tonight. The Penguins play the Flyers on Wednesday before Columbus' next game Thursday vs. Florida.
