Despite playing in just four games this season, Jet Greaves leads all Blue Jackets goalies in every important category except for record. He's posted a team-best 3.04 GAA, .917SV%, and 5.24 goals saved above expected (GSAx), per EvolvingHockey.
His current opportunity in the NHL is on the heels of Elvis Merzlikins suffering a lower-body injury and Daniil Tarasov leaving Thursday's game late in the first period with an upper-body injury. Greaves stopped 24/25 shots in relief and posted 2.5 GSAx.

Every time Greaves has played at the NHL level, he's excelled. Sure, it's only been five appearances, but he's compiled a .923SV% in those games. If he keeps playing well, why shouldn't he keep playing in the NHL?

There's no reason Greaves shouldn't be given strong consideration to be one of the goalies on the Blue Jackets' roster next year if he keeps up this level of play.
