The good times keep on rolling.

Zach Werenski had two goals and Kirill Marchenko had the game-winner in the shootout as the Columbus Blue Jackets beat the Philadelphia Flyers 3-2 on Tuesday night at Nationwide Arena.

Columbus has a season-high five-game winning streak and is 9-2-1 in its last 12 games.

Werenski Ties Bourque

With his 14th goal to continue a 17-game home point streak, Zach Werenski tied Ray Bourque for the longest home point streak by a defenseman.

The unassisted breakaway goal at 10:21 tied the score 1-1.

Down a goal late, Werenski tied the score 2-2 for his 15th at 15:23 with Marchenko (30) continuing a five-game point streak (two goals, four assists) and Adam Fantilli (12) extending a career-best six-game point streak (three goals, four assists).

Werenski was First Star of the Night with two goals and five shots on seven attempts in 31:28.

Werenski leads all defensemen with 15 goals and is tied with Cale Makar for the most points with 50.

Marchenko Does It Again

Marchenko won the game for the Blue Jackets with the winning shootout goal for the second time in exactly a week.

He did so last Tuesday against the Pittsburgh Penguins and then ended the night for the Flyers with his effortless-looking goal past 6-foot-8 Ivan Fedotov.

Marchenko was Third Star of the Night with the assist and shootout goal in 19:18. Kent Johnson scored the first shootout goal and is 3-for-3 in the shootout this season.

Tarasov Rebounds

It's been a rough go for Daniil Tarasov.

He entered play riding a six-game losing streak in the NHL and most recently spent time with the Cleveland Monsters on a conditioning assignment.

Splitting the weekend with a loss and a win in the AHL, Tarasov returned to the NHL and the crease on Tuesday for head coach Dean Evason, putting together his best game of the season.

Making 23 saves on 25 shots and putting together a perfect overtime and shootout, he helped shut the door for Columbus and garnered Second Star of the Night honors and his first win since Oct. 22 against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Columbus is 8-2-0 with Denton Mateuchuk in the lineup. Fedotov made 26 saves on 28 shots.

First Overall Pick Comes To Town

Columbus wraps up the quick two-game homestand as the Blue Jackets host the 2024 first-overall pick Macklin Celebrini and the San Jose Sharks on Thursday, Jan. 16 at 7 p.m. ET.
