A night that started off as more of a skating affair devolved into one of the more physical games from the Columbus Blue Jackets this season.
It added excitement to an already rousing affair as the Blue Jackets took down the Anaheim Ducks, 4-2.
The big moment took place near the end of the second period when Ducks goaltender John Gibson didn't take kindly to Nick Foligno being near his crease. Gibson swung at Foligno's legs and Foligno responded by approaching the slender goaltender.
Gibson acted like he wanted to throw down but one push from Foligno and he went to the ice easily. It was one of plenty of moments against the Ducks that got testy.
Game is getting chippy with the Ducks' Hampus Lindholm getting right in Atkinson's kitchen.

At the end of the game with the net empty, the Blue Jackets captain got the last laugh with an empty net goal to seal the game.
