Now riding back-to-back regulation wins for the first time since Dec. 8-9 (yowza), the Blue Jackets are hoping to roll into Toronto for a third straight tick in the win column.

It won't be easy; the Maple Leafs feature one of the more lethal offenses in hockey, with eight different players already at 30 points or more. The Blue Jackets did scratch out wins in the first two meetings this season, however.

Matchup:

Blue Jackets at Toronto Maple Leafs
Air Canada Centre, 7 p.m.
TV: Fox Sports Ohio

What to Watch For:

  • The Maple Leafs enter this game red hot, feeling the full momentum of a four-game winning streak. That includes a win against current the Tampa Bay Lightning, the NHL's current President's Trophy leader.
  • Can the Blue Jackets kill penalties? In the last 11 games they've allowed 12 power play goals. That can't be the case against a squad that already scores more than any other NHL team in 5-on-5 situations and has the firepower to break down opposition penalty kills.
  • Pierre-Luc Dubois and Oliver Bjorkstrand are aiming to extend goal-scoring streaks, with Dubois looking to make it four games in a row and Bjorkstrand shooting for a third.

Tale of the Tape:

Maple Leafs

34-19-5 / 3rd in Atlantic Division
PP: 20.50% (14th) / PK: 83.04% (6th)
5v5 Corsi: 49.4% (19th)

Blue Jackets

29-23-4 / 5th in Metropolitan Division
PP: 14.91% (31st) / PK: 75.0% (28th)
5v5 Corsi: 51.0% (12th)
