The Vitali Abramov hype train is once again full steam ahead.

Abramov broke a record when his Victoriaville Tigers took on the Halifax Mooseheads winning by a score of 8-2. Abramov had three assists on the evening and with those points, broke the record for most points scored by a European player in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL).

The previous record holder was Stanislav Lascek, who put up 282 points. As it stands today, Abramov has 284 points and will continue to make the record all the more unbreakable with a couple more weeks of games remaining.

This is another in a long line of awards and records for Abramov. After the 2015-16 season, Abramov was awarded the QMJHL Rookie of the Year award. After the 2016-17 season, Abramov was awarded the Jean Beliveau Trophy for the most points scored. After that same season, he was also awarded the Michael Briere Trophy given to the QMJHL's most valuable player.
