John Tortorella has been consistent in his message.
Play well, or don't play.
That applies to everyone – young players and even established veterans. Tonight, Brandon Dubinsky will sit out against his former team, the New York Rangers, when the Blue Jackets go for a ninth straight win at Madison Square Garden.

It has been a struggle for Dubinsky, to say the least. With added depth at the trade deadline he has been shifted to a fourth-line role with reduced ice time, and that fourth line did not play well Monday night in Boston.
The 31-year-old Dubinsky has five goals and 10 assists in 55 games this season, and hasn't recorded a point since he scored a goal Feb. 13 in Brooklyn (18 games ago). He played just 12:36 on Monday in Boston, his third-lowest ice time total of the season.
