Robinson, 22, scored 17 goals and added 14 assists (both career highs) in his senior season with the Tigers. They won the ECAC title and advanced to the NCAA Tournament, where they lost the Buckeyes in the Midwest Regional semifinal.
"Eric is a power forward with excellent speed who plays a very reliable two-way game and brings the type of character and leadership we value as an organization," said Kekalainen. "He will join our team for the rest of the regular season and we are excited about his future with the Columbus Blue Jackets."
The 6-foot-2, 201 lb. Robinson is a New Jersey native and played one season in the USHL before committing to Princeton.
