He won't talk about it. But we will.
John Tortorella became the winningest coach in Blue Jackets history tonight, as Columbus took down Calgary 5–1 at the Scotiabank Saddledome. The win, punctuated by a Pierre-Luc Dubois hat trick, is the 128th behind the Columbus bench for Tortorella, who assumed the job on Oct. 21, 2015.
Tortorella passes Todd Richards, who previously held the team's coaching wins record. Tortorella is 128–86–21 in 234 games as Blue Jackets head coach, including one (possibly soon to be two) trip to the postseason and a Jack Adams Award in 2017.
