The Columbus Blue Jackets have been their own worst enemy on some nights.

They have looked like one of the best teams in the league and one of the worst. They are hoping to add some stability by moving two of their bench coaches into their original roles.

Brad Shaw, who had been coaching the forwards is moving back to coaching the defense. Prior to this season he had been coaching the defense for the Blue Jackets but had moved roles during this past offseason. Likewise, Brad Larsen is moving back to his forward role after coaching the defense for a short time this season.

Head coach John Tortorella has stated that the move took place after a conversation with GM Jarmo Kekalainen.

The Blue Jackets are currently on pace to allow the most goals in the history of the franchise. A move seemed like it was coming and the loss to the Washington Capitals was the tipping point.
