The Columbus Blue Jackets kicked off their six-game homestand with a dud against the Washington Capitals, falling 4-0. They'll get a chance to right the ship tonight against the Vancouver Canucks and rookie phenom Elias Pettersson.
Assistant coaches Brad Larsen and Brad Shaw have been switched back to their original roles – Shaw coaching defense and Larsen coaching forwards – so perhaps some of the team's coverage issues will work themselves out now.

STORYLINES
- Will #HoodieTorts return? Unlikely, but we can dream.
- Three players who have struggled recently – Anthony Duclair, Alexander Wennberg and Oliver Bjorkstrand – are all on a line together now, bumping Brandon Dubinsky back down to the fourth line and his natural center spot. It's a high-risk, high reward move for the Blue Jackets.
- Can Columbus contain Elias Pettersson? He's coming off of an incredible five-point performance against the St. Louis Blues (in just 13 minutes on the ice!) – so the defensively-inept Blue Jackets will certainly have their hands full.
