Cam Atkinson's record-setting season rolls on.
The Blue Jackets have benefitted all season long from Atkinson's goal-scoring pace, which has been torrid until a recent cold stretch. That slump was broken on Saturday night in Nashville, when Atkinson snapped out of it to score a couple of big goals against the Predators.
Atkinson scored 50 seconds into the game on Saturday night at Bridgestone Arena, and scored another late in the second period to give the Blue Jackets a wider margin against the Nashville Predators.
THIS IS 40. Atkinson scores quickly.

The Blue Jackets' top line has had its share of struggles lately, but Atkinson's awakening in a big game is a good sign. They're going to need this group to chip in down the stretch and complement the increased contributions of their depth, which paced them to wins over the Islanders and Canadiens.
Atkinson, though, is now one goal away from etching his name in the franchise record books all on his own.
