Injury update.

The Blue Jackets announced that Jakub Voracek is out indefinitely after being diagnosed with a concussion after being struck with a high stick in the Nov. 5 clash against Colorado.

“Jake has had a number of head injuries during his career, and after the most recent was advised by doctors to take some time off to see if his ongoing symptoms subside to the point that will allow him to come back and play,” GM Jarmo Kekalainen said.  “We don’t expect a resolution in the near future and will give Jake as much time as he needs as his long-term health is the most important factor here.”

The club also announced that Jake Bean underwent successful surgery on Nov. 23 and is expected to be out four-to-six months. He tore his labrum on Nov. 15.

Additionally, Zach Werenski underwent successful surgery on Nov. 29 and is expected to fully recover in six months. He suffered a torn labrum on Nov. 10.
