The club activated Adam Boqvist and Joonas Korpisalo off of IR, placed Cole Sillinger on IR retroactive to Dec. 17, and assigned Jet Greaves to the AHL's Cleveland Monsters.

"It's trending that way," head coach Brad Larsen said on whether or not Boqvist will return Friday in Chicago. "We'll see [Friday]."

Larsen had the same attitude toward the potential return of Korpisalo, saying "we'll make that decision tomorrow."

Nick Blankenburg also returned to the ice on Thursday, skating in front of the media for the first time. He hasn't played since Nov. 10 due to a high ankle sprain and a fractured ankle.

Kent Johnson looked up to Blackhawks legend Patrick Kane growing up and is looking forward to playing against him.
"I've been looking forward to it," Johnson said. "It'll be fun to see him out there."
