For the first time in his 11-year career, Boone Jenner will be an NHL All-Star, the NHL announced Thursday when unveiling the first 32 players headed to the NHL's All-Star weekend in Toronto from Feb. 1-3. Jenner is from Dorchester, Ontario, which is about 100 miles from Toronto.

Jenner, who is tied for the team lead with 13 goals, has posted 13-5--18 in 29 games this season. He's been out since Dec. 8 after suffering a broken jaw that placed him on injured reserve and expects to sideline him for six weeks.

In a franchise-record 686 career regular season games, Jenner has registered 183-164--347 in addition to 8-7--15 in 37 playoff games.

The Blue Jackets selected Jenner with the No. 37 pick in the 2011 NHL Draft. He was named captain ahead of the 2021-22 season.
