The Blue Jackets activated Sean Kuraly off injured reserve after an eight-game absence with an abdominal injury he suffered on Dec. 23 against the Maple Leafs. To make room for Kuraly on the roster, the team assigned Brendan Gaunce to the AHL.

In 35 games this season, Kuraly has posted 6-5--11 while Gaunce has posted 1-2--3 in eight NHL games in addition to 6-9--15 in 24 AHL games with the Cleveland Monsters.

The Blue Jackets are back in action on Monday at 1 p.m. ET when they host the Vancouver Canucks.
