Adam Fantilli suffered a cut to his left leg from a skate blade in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Seattle Kraken and will not play on Tuesday when the Blue Jackets face the Blues in St. Louis, the club announced on Monday. Additionally, the club said that "he will receive further evaluation after the club returns to Columbus following the game vs. the Blues."

Tuesday will mark the first game Fantilli will miss in his NHL career, as he played in the team's first 49 games and posted 12-15--27. The 19-year-old Nobleton, Ontario, native was selected with the No. 3 pick in the 2023 NHL Draft and ranks third in goals and fourth in points among rookies.
