The Blue Jackets acquired goaltender Malcolm Subban from the Blues for future considerations and assigned him to AHL Cleveland ahead of Friday's 3 p.m. ET trade deadline, the club announced. 

Subban, 30, was selected by the Bruins with the No. 24 overall pick in the 2012 NHL Draft and has posted an 11-14-4 record with a .907SV% and a 2.94 GAA for the AHL's Springfield Thunderbirds. In 202 AHL games over seven seasons, he's posted an 89-75-32 record with a .912SV% and a 2.62 GAA. 

He last played in the NHL in 2021-22 with the Sabres where he posted an 0-2-1 record with an .871SV% and a 4.85 GAA. 

In 86 NHL games over eight seasons, he's recorded a 36-33-9 record with an .898SV% and a 3.10 GAA.

The Cleveland Monsters are currently in first place in the AHL's North Division as they gear up for their playoff push.
