The wait is over.

The Columbus Blue Jackets and Detroit Red Wings have unveiled the sweaters that will be worn in their 2025 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series match-up Saturday, March 1st at Ohio Stadium.

The Blue Jackets' look prominently features the cannon, with a new shade of dark blue as the base of the sweater. The cannon has a scarlet and grey look to it, providing a sleek tie-in to the location of the game and the rivalry between the Ohio State Buckeyes and Michigan Wolverines collegiate programs.

In the jersey, the captain and alternate captain designations have are outlined in the state of Ohio, providing a nice nod to the Buckeye State.

The sleeves offer up another homage to the Buckeyes, with a grey stripe running down the elbows and a scarlet line at the base of both the sleeve and the front and back of the sweaters.

The Red Wings sweater offers a clean and simple look, with the word "Detroit" spelled out on the front.

Last week, NHL Content & Events President Steve Mayer spoke to FanDuel Sports Network and provided new insights on the presentation of the game between the two teams, letting fans know to expect a heavy dose of the relationship between the venue, the history of the football rivalry, and the game.

“We’re going to take advantage of Ohio State traditions. If you attend a (Buckeye) football game, you’re going to feel that when you attend a (Blue Jacket) hockey game," said Mayer.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Columbus-based band O.A.R. will perform a pregame set. They join another Columbus-based group, Twenty One Pilots, on the list of performers.

Twenty One Pilots will play during the first intermission.

The game appears as if it will be a meaningful one in the Eastern Conference playoff race, as well. As of Thursday, the Blue Jackets hold the second wild card spot with the Red Wings just four points behind and a game in hand.

It will also be the second half of a home-and-home between the two teams, with Columbus playing in Detroit two days earlier, on Thursday, February 27th.

According to the Blue Jackets, Stadium Series jerseys are available for pre-order at Blue Line locations at both Nationwide Arena and Polaris Fashion Place, as well as online at TheBlueLineOnline.com, through Feb. 4. They're expected to be available for pick-up and delivery in early February.

Puck-drop for the Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series is scheduled for 6 p.m.
